The Thanet wind farm can be found in the North Sea and was brought online in 2010. . It is run by Vattenfall.
It has been built in around 25 metres of water. Many of the UK projects are built in shallow waters with the turbines using monopile foundations.
It has a nameplate capacity of 300MW and was developed by Vattenfall.
Just the German offshore sector comes close to the UK offshore in terms of capacity. Unfortunately, the most of the UK projects are built by foreign companies.
