The Robin Rigg wind farm can be found in the Irish Sea and was brought online in 2010. . It is run by E.ON.
It has been built in around 12 metres of water. Most of the UK projects are built in shallow waters with the turbines using monopile foundations.
It has a nameplate capacity of 180MW and was developed by E.ON.
Just the German offshore sector comes close to the UK offshore in terms of capacity. Unfortunately, the most of the UK projects are built by foreign companies.
