The Rhyl Flats wind farm can be found in the Irish Sea and was brought online in 2009. . It is run by DOng.
It has been built in around 8 metres of water. Most of the UK projects are built in shallow waters with the turbines using monopile foundations.
It has a nameplate capacity of 90MW and was developed by Greencoat Capital.
The UK offshore industry is second to none when it comes to development. Unfortunately, the most of the UK projects are built by foreign companies.
