Blyth is located in the North Sea and came online in 2000. . It is run by Nuon UK.
It has been built in around 10 metres of water. Lots of the UK projects are built in shallow waters with the turbines using monopile foundations.
It has a nameplate capacity of 4MW and was developed by Shell Renewables.
Just the German offshore sector comes close to the UK offshore in terms of capacity. Unfortunately, the most of the UK projects are built by foreign companies.
