The Ems-Emden wind farm is found in the German North Sea and it was brought online in 2004. Ems-Emden is nearest to the area of Emden and is operated by ENOVA.
regarding depths it is located within waters having a maximum depth of 3 metres. Many of the German projects are built in deeper waters with the turbines using jacket or tripod foundations.
It provides a nameplate capacity of 4.5MW and was developed by ENOVA.
The German offshore industry is second to the UK in terms of development. This is despite the limited coastline available.
